Our interdisciplinary laboratory has resources both at the Munich School of BioEngineering at TUM Department of Chemistry and TUM School of Medicine as well as at the Helmholtz Center Munich which is a member of the Helmholtz Alliance of German Research Centers.
Concerning imaging equipment, we have access to 9.4 Tesla and 7 Tesla preclinical MR scanners with the ability to conduct DNP hyperpolarization, several optoacoustic imaging devices, custom-built fast fluorescence microscopy systems, and electron microscopy. We work in state-of-the-art biological research laboratories with cell and tissue culture, as well as zebrafish and rodent facilities. We have furthermore established a biophysical analysis pipeline for characterizing the magnetic properties of the biomagnetic structures, which we generate.
