Our interdisciplinary laboratory has resources both at the University Hospital of TUM School of Medicine as well as at the Helmholtz Center Munich which is a member of the Helmholtz Alliance of German Research Centers.
Concerning imaging equipment, we have access to 9.4 Tesla and 7 Tesla preclinical MR scanners with the ability to conduct DNP hyperpolarization, several optoacoustic imaging devices, custom-built fast fluorescence microscopy systems, and electron microscopy. We work in state-of-the-art biological research laboratories with cell and tissue culture, as well as zebrafish and rodent facilities. We have furthermore established a biophysical analysis pipeline for characterizing the magnetic properties of the biomagnetic structures that we generate.
